Water flow is the key!

They were offered at a discount when I bought Affresh for washing machines so I decided to try them. I was a little disappointed at first when I first tried them - there seemed to be a lot of foam and once the foam was there it was gone. Fur. However, the next time I used them I decided I would hardly use the water flow - WOW! Doesn't matter! So now with the smallest flow of water (before it was just dripping a lot at once - it was even less than the "pencil width" flow as the instructions said) the soapy water filled the disposer with soapy water. Then there was the foam action in the main washbasin of our double washbasin and it really got going! This is a VERY powerful force! LOL So at this point I decided to turn off the water jet and the foam just swirled around in the disposer and kept its thick frothy consistency (like whipped cream?). I let it run until I didn't think it looked cool anymore and watched it twirl around without moving anywhere! (LOL, about 45s-1min). I then turned the water flow back on to a very low level (but not as low as for the suds) and the suds quickly washed down the drain! The inside of the bin is well cleaned - there is nothing left in the bin's "teeth". The smell is orange and fresh, although not very long-lasting (but it makes sense since I just brushed and washed it!). I rarely use the pills, mainly because of the cost per pill, but only when I think a Dispodal needs them or when I remember it's been weeks (or months) since I last used them !

Pros
  • Affresh Cleaner is specially formulated with a citrus scent
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
