What an excellent piece of kit. I can only say that after trying to use bladders from hydration packs inside my new packs it rarely works well. The opening is big enough to insert my steripen (I got the 2l ) and 1 minute later water is safe. When not in use it rolls up tiny ( came with tiny pouch, flat x 4x4 in) you could put a deck of survival cards in. Has external hang loops on it that lay flat also. I will definitely buy another. This is a collapsible canteen that fits in a cargo pocket with 1oz of weight. Nice !
