This portable monitor is good to have if you are looking for a screen to connect to your laptop monitor. The monitor is thin, but the frame itself isn't very thin. It connects to your monitor. The only thing I would say is that it makes it very unwieldy. The nice thing is that there are snaps that make opening the device around the screen easier. You no longer have to worry about opening the clamps. Due to the monitor's larger size, it's not compact enough to be easily carried around in a laptop bag. I actually need this in a separate case to fit. I can't put it in a laptop bag. That being said, I have to say that the monitor is a bit heavier. The laptop needs a stand on the back to support the extra weight of this monitor. The controls are okay and the brightness is decent, but not as bright as my laptop screen, which took me getting used to. I've tried using different cables, plugging directly into the wall (just in case there isn't enough power), using HDMI and Type-C and they all work fine. I would recommend using type-c to type-c whenever possible to reduce the number of cables needed, but you can use HDMI. The controls are fairly simple and it was easy to set up. The monitor is not touch sensitive. Sound is present but not very loud. I've tried playing games on it and everything is fine. It's definitely not the best monitor for gaming, but it can be done. The nice thing is that you can easily unlock this monitor. The latch is pretty strong so you don't have to worry about it falling off. The screen isn't too easy to scratch, but the monitor folds up so the monitor faces outward, making it more prone to scratches. It comes with HDMI cables and Type-C cables. For the least amount of cabling, I'd recommend going Type-C to Type-C if possible. When using HDMI, you need two cables (HDMI and USB A to Type C) to use the monitor. It's just more cables. The cables are long enough to run from the laptop to the monitors. The Type-C cable is angled so it doesn't stick out, but the HDMI cable doesn't stick out, and neither does the USB-A to Type-C cable. It will look messy with the zip ties. It doesn't get hot, which is good. The only thing I don't like is that the stand is a bit thin. It supports your laptop screen. Overall this monitor is ok but can be heavy. The stand is thin and doesn't feel solid. At least it doesn't burden your monitor. The clip is at least easy to put on and take off. The brightness is pleasant and takes some getting used to. In my opinion you can really tell the difference by looking at your laptop screen.
