interesting design, noisy fans

My ThinkPad P53 Xeon 2276 with RTX 5000 gets very hot when training a neural network model. I was looking for a cooling pad with adjustable fans and this is one of the few options I have. The aluminum frame is not cut in one piece on a CNC machine. Rather, it is cast aluminum with noticeably rough edges. That being said, a CNC cooling pad probably costs over $50. So I find it acceptable. Despite the fact that the assembly is not bad, it does not swing, and that is important. As for fans. Well they do their job but they are very noisy! I bought two Noctua NF-F12 5V PWM fans to replace and they work really well. The noise level is noticeably lower than standard fans and I definitely can't hear it as my P53 fans are very loud, although not as loud as standard fans. Frame. But the fans are hardly used, and I strongly recommend replacing them with quieter ones.
