Review on 1 TB External SSD Samsung T7 Shield, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, black by Adam Walendzik ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I thought it would be better, but overall not bad.

In overall, everything is good and no one has any issues with the work. BUT! It's agony getting it going on MacOS. I'm not sure exactly how I got it to start, but when I initially tried to connect it using a USB-C cable, the computer just did not recognize it. It was useless. Additionally, nothing was determined by the Samsung software that was installed. after numerous tries at reinstalling, browsing forums, etc. Yes, I am aware that there are a number of issues. One of which is a malicious program, while the other is a functional disk protection that is turned off by this program. If you do not grant permission for the software to access the system's core in a timely manner, nothing will function. As an illustration, in Ventura, you typically need to restart in safe mode and turn off protection. In brief, I reinstalled the software once more and switched the wire to a standard USB after tambourine-dancing. And surprise, surprise, everything worked! I disabled the protection using the software, and the computer recognized the formatted disk. I'm not sure what specifically helped, but I suggest starting with a conventional USB connection. Such hemorrhoids did not exist with any external drive.

Pros
  • - Two cords - Speed - Compactness
Cons
  • - Support for Mac OS
