The software developed by Brio doesn't work on Mac so you lose 4K quality. Also, you cannot zoom, pan or tilt the camera image in the software - these functions are not available. According to Logitech, this is a known bug. The workaround is to install a separate Logitech gaming software package that allows you to use pan, zoom, and tilt. Gaming software must always be running in the background to save settings. It's a memory eater. I use a video conferencing camera and I don't have time to run the program before every scam call so I need to keep it running. Given the lower video quality, you should probably spend a lot less for a still-respectable camera. How any company can make a peripheral like this, aimed primarily at creative people who don't work on a Mac, is beyond me. Additional Notes: This uses a USB-C cable that plugs into the back of the camera. This is good as you can buy a longer cable and replace it. My Mac sits on a shelf about eight feet away, so that was an advantage for me. (The other end of the cable I bought was a standard old-fashioned USB connector.) Newer MacBooks have USB-C connectors, so you can use -C on either end. Some of the cheaper cameras have a non-detachable cable, so check that when making your decision. The microphone is pretty decent, no issues with fraudulent calls.
