I've been looking for a 3/4 curling iron/flat iron for a long time and this is the best I've ever tried. I have long hair so my curls don't hold well on large curling irons unless I use hairspray, which I prefer not to do. I've always used 1" and 2" but the result is a loose wave that can flatten out at the end of the day. This smaller curling iron creates tight curls depending on how much hair you add to each section. Less hair per section gives you tighter curls; More hair gives you more free, beautiful waves. I like tighter curls because they give me more volume and at the end of the day I just end up with nice loose waves that last for days (depending on how deeply I sleep lol). Sometimes I just leave tight curls that look really cute, but more often than not, after my hair has cooled, I run my fingers through the curls to break them up and loosen them up. This curling iron heats up very quickly and is very hot, so please be careful and use the glove provided. Because it's so hot you don't have to hold each section for very long, again it all depends on how much hair you're doing per section. The finished product is beautiful curls that will last through a busy day. Love it. That's exactly what I wanted.
