I have been a heavy user of thermoplastics for many years; mainly to combine household repairs and the manufacture of figures. My favorite brand is Instamorph, but I also like to experiment with others. In the fridge, this plastic is just as strong and durable as I would expect, but when warm and pliable, it's significantly stickier than other brands I've tried. However, this is not necessarily a disadvantage; it simply means that this product is ideal for certain applications. While I prefer brands like Instamorph, Missing Link, or Friendly Plastic for DIY figures, this one lends itself much better to pressing into molds. I decided to test this with the Han Solo mold I have in carbonite. Like other thermoplastics, this one takes dyes well (in this case I mixed in copper mica powder, but powdered fabric paints work too). The plastic pressed in easily, absorbing every detail the shape had to offer. The nose and fingertips were missing, but I made an ice duplicate just in case, and as you can see those details just aren't included in the mold itself. All in all, this is a great product, especially if you intend to use it in molds or to fill gaps.
