The remote control did not work for me, but the chip and key were fine. I didn't want to pay to have a new key made or program the chip. I programmed the locking features onto the new key and figured I'd just replace the keypad with my existing key. Easy right? Not easy. The housing for the battery and buttons did not fit my key, I had to file the ends of the housing to fit the key housing. I also had to enlarge the holes for the lock and unlock buttons so they don't stick out when you push them into the key. It worked with difficulty.
