I very much doubt that this hat is 100% organic cotton as advertised. It's too smooth and stretchy not to be blended. The fabric feels exactly like thick pantyhose, so I'm sure there's some spandex in there. The shape is very high and round. It's too big to serve as a skullcap for an average head (so I don't see why it's made out of stretchy fabric), but it also has too many structural seams at the top to allow for a slack fit. In the photos the cross detail on the side looks a bit like a ruffled bow and I thought I'd sew on a nice button down the center. But no, it just looks weird. On the plus side, the hat is really well made so it seems like it will last forever if you change the pattern and use a different fabric.
