While it looks great, it was a bit of a hassle to install. The instructions aren't very clear, so I wanted to give a few tips. 1.) You can mount the first mounting piece first before lifting the entire fan from there. The bottom bar just hooks right in and doesn't need to be screwed in with the whole fan on top. That may be common sense, but we were very inexperienced when it came to installing a fan. 2.) Make sure to screw on the fan blades before installation. It will make your life much easier! 3.) There is no red wire for the remote control receiver as shown in the picture. The wire marked as red in the manual is actually black. It took us (my husband and I) about 2 hours to install with little experience of this type of installation. My husband did some other wiring work so he has a little more experience but not specifically for ceiling fans.
