Easier to install Good for car safety

I bought this backup camera mainly because you can only install one power source instead of two. You pay extra for the convenience of only connecting one set of cables. The rest is just a standard rear camera and monitor. The picture is okay, but the screen flickers a bit, which is more annoying than annoying. When installing, I connected the wiring to the reversing lights in the trunk as indicated. Be sure to check the polarity of the wires - you really don't want to mix them up. The included connectors are pure junk. Both connectors failed to splice - and I've used splice connectors before with no problems. Luckily I had butt connectors at home that I could use to complete the installation. After all of this was installed, I found that the power on/off switch was defective. I ordered a replacement that had a function switch. Overall, this isn't a high-tech system, but it's functional and easier to install than others that require connection to redundant wiring and a fuse box. I just wish QC was better. ***Update*** The seller contacted me after reading my review to try to fix the flickering. After a few emails back and forth they sent a new monitor. It was shipped from overseas - so it took a couple of weeks but it arrived as promised. The monitor appears a bit brighter, which makes the picture a bit clearer. My guess is that the thin wires for the kit have something to do with power and signal. However, it is functional and better than no camera. In addition, very satisfied with the seller for his communication and efforts to find and rectify a solution.
