Review on Ridgid 62703 Gallon RT1200 Vacuum by Jack Robi

This vacuum cleaner is meant to be a higher-end version of the standard 12-gallon vacuum you can get in HD for around $80 However, there only seem to be two differences to give: (1) it is a different color and (2) it has a different tube. Unfortunately, the chic hose only has a diameter of 1-7/8" instead of 2-1/2"! I don't know what they were thinking; it makes no sense at all. All nozzles are 2-1/2 so things get stuck where they enter the hose. You have to constantly unplug the hose from the stick and clean it. The description also mentions noise reduction, but I've measured both models and they're the same - around 85dB. It's not quiet, but bearable for a short time. If you prefer the color of this model, one solution is to buy the standard hose separately. They sell it in HD
