Review on πŸ‹οΈ Fitbit Versa Special Edition Smart Watch: Charcoal Woven, One Size, S & L Bands Included - The Ultimate Fitness Companion by Dred Swindler

The service is as bad as the watch

My wife was very happy to get a new smart watch. The Versa seemed to offer everything she wanted in a fitness tracker. After about 1 month of use, it stopped counting steps and heart rate (google this issue, you'll see it's very common). After factory reset and deleting the application on the phone (you can't detach the clock in the application - you have to delete it) the clock worked again for 3 days. Step count stops first, then heart rate 105 (intensive cardio or rest). Let's talk disappointment! I called Fitbit tech support. It's funny that they mention that "if the call gets dropped, they'll call you back". Your phone line works just as good as your clock crap. After being disconnected twice (and not being called back) I was finally able to speak to someone without dropping the line. They confirmed that the watch stopped working and offered to send a replacement. Calling the third time was a charm. We will get a new watch but are very pessimistic that the problem won't come back. This seems to be an inherent problem with the Versa. If you don't care about steps or heart rate or a customer service line that hangs up your call multiple times, this might be the watch for you. If not, let us know when you find a watch that works. We're looking for a new watch. **Updated October 8th. The replacement Fitbit Versa I sent in stopped working after 2 months. That's 2 Versa failures in less than 6 months. That bodes very badly for Fitbit. Quality seems to be a big issue with this model. Buyers be careful. **Updated October 20th. Customer service should have emailed me to confirm resending a replacement. Email not received. Once again I had to contact Fitbit for an email and another soon became paperweight. You don't get what you pay for. The warranty is 1 year from the original date of purchase. Even if every replacement failed. In a year I will make over $200 and have several paper scales.
