Bright light for factory tanks, tons of functionality

I waited quite a long time before finally deciding to order this item as it is very expensive compared to alternative T8/T12 lights. Now that I have the light, the benefits of an LED solution outweigh the price premium. I refrain from giving five stars as there are several issues that I would like to see updated fixes for in future versions. the top of the tank. Take this into account if you have an open aquarium as any disturbance in the water will cause a small amount of water to spill onto the plastic housing which will reduce light output over time but is easy to clean with a damp cloth. There are too many customizable options which may put off some people looking for regular light to illuminate their aquarium. But most people who have aquariums are obsessed with the hobby and will love all of the functionality that the light offers. You can fully customize the type of lighting you need by changing the RGBY light levels, allowing you to showcase your tank in a way no traditional T8/T12 unit can. As individual color levels are increased, this thing really comes alive as well. I have a low maintenance 40 gallon planting tank which is slightly larger than regular tanks, about 27 inches tall. I was concerned about how much light would get to the bottom plants of the substrate in such a tall tank. A few days after installation small plants started to grow in the front which I didn't see with my previous lighting setup. The only downside to the high output of this light is that fast growing plants (e.g. java moss) need constant trimming and removal. After a couple of weeks my java moss took over the entire aquarium and I had to remove a few sacks of it to make up for it Light can return to the smaller plants in the gravel/soil substrate. In conclusion, I would like to point out some disadvantages of the light. During the night cycle it will transition to a very faint blue night light. While I like it, I can't understand how, with all the functionality of light, you can't program a true dark phase into your cycle. 2. When transitioning between settings (full sun/cloudy/etc.), the transition between the two settings is not smooth. It will return to the full brightness setting before moving to the next setting.3. There is no way to program storm/cloud/weather to match your typical daily cycle. This light screams for the kind of functionality that would allow part of the day to have some of the controller's great settings, but unfortunately your typical time might just have a lighting setting that fades to a blue night light. In general, I cannot offer any other light. The functionality you get with the light is great and will really help your aquarium stand out. A few shortcomings are not enough for me not to recommend this flashlight to all freshwater enthusiasts.
