Great belt but needs improvement

I needed to replace my work belt which had served me well for over 15 years. I replaced it with this beautiful belt. good leather goods. The belt is thick so it will last a long time. However, the belt loop built into the belt was too tight and didn't want to let the body of the belt through. I looked at the hinge design and noticed that it was held together by two thin clips that broke. Luckily I had a loop from my old belt and replaced it with a new one. love the belt. hate the belt loop - it should be longer and have stronger clips holding it together
