Review on Emporio Armani Stainless Touchscreen Smartwatch: Sleek and Chic Tech Accessory for the Style Savvy by Leslie Matlak

I'm glad I waited for the next gen

This is my first smartwatch - and I'm glad I'm waiting for the next gen with the latest processor, more memory and a better battery waited . I gave it a 4 for battery life, but it met my expectations. With the right settings, a charge with a constantly visible face can last two days. Start downloading apps, change face, do other activities and you have to charge it throughout the day. I have one complaint: you have to do most of it yourself. The "More Info" link in the Quick Start Guide does not work. It helps to watch some videos on You Tube. This is most likely a Wear OS issue, not Armani/Fossil, but it doesn't control the display timeout. I set it to only show hands and surrounding face markers. But the full face begins to fade very quickly - in just a few seconds. There are concerns about screen burn-in and battery life, but the occasional 30-second full-screen mode doesn't make much of an impact. I see similar complaints from others about this. All in all I am satisfied with the quality of the product. They should contain more dials than they are. I prefer the one I'm currently using, but it's still not exactly what I want.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
