The microphone isn't as good as I would like it to be, but in that regard you get what you pay for. That's quite enough, but not for sound recording for professional purposes. Sounds ok on zoom calls. Secondly, the mic is a little weak so it's pretty easy to pick up on rough kids. The sound is great and I love the size. The others I have don't have a mic extender but have an internal mic that's good for phone calls, not zoom calls, but the cable on the back is huge. I'm an adult with a small head haha I know it sounds weird but it's important. They're not necessarily just for kids, as the brand's name would suggest (Youth Whisper), but my husband couldn't wear them. Great for small adult heads and I think it works well for medium sized kids heads. I hope this helps, this is what interested me the most about this purchase so I took a chance. I'm glad I did. The sound quality is good and serves my purpose. That's why I give 5 stars. Perfect fit for the price.
