I got this mainly because the steam from my old microwave melted the paint in my microwave into a big flaky bubble. This popper was cute and worked, but slower than a microwave popper. I liked the idea of flipping the lid and using it like a bowl with a green lid to keep the oil from spilling. But when I did that, the oil came out right through the green cap, right above me. Wash the bowl and lid after use. After washing, the lid didn't stay on the bowl at all. Literally crashed every time. I returned it for a refund. Instead I will buy a new microwave and go back to my old popper!
