I use this thermometer to measure my baby's milk time because my bottle warmer doesn't have a timer setting. I have had 2 of these thermometers in 7 months. Never again. Why did I buy 2 now? Well, read on: PROS - If it works, that's for sure. I took the temperature with another thermometer and the temperatures were the same. The timer is easy to use. If you're anything like me, you don't like reading manuals. This thermometer requires no reading - the benefit is obvious. The timer lets you see how much time has passed so you can get a feel for how long it takes for certain things to heat up. For example, I now know that my daughter's milk takes about 3 minutes to warm up from freezing to 100 degrees. I can plan accordingly. The alarm clock is loud, but you can choose to sleep. The numbers are big so you can see them from afar. CONS: HUGE CONS: not open more than 2 hours. Months. I've bought this thermometer twice now and each of them stopped working within two months for the same reason: instead of showing the temperature of the object you're heating, it reads "LO". I can't tell you what "LO" is, but once you see it, that means the thermometer has stopped working on you and you're out of luck. Coming back is a pain. You would think that a manufacturer selling an item with a known defect would make returns easier, right? Or, better yet, send you a new one as soon as you complain, right? nope Revain forces you to return that item first and then wait for a refund or order a new item without receiving a refund. No customer service. No excuses. No free shipping new so you won't be bothered. Very unconvincing.
