These CR24xx battery holders are awesome! 15-20 years and unfortunately most people just throw away their favorite guitar or bass amp. One of the most notable examples is the Line 6 VETTA, which was new nearly 20 years ago and cost $1,800. It was designed as an amp for professional use and many pros toured with it as it was bulletproof, not to mention all the features and 2 DSP SHARC. spot welded to the main circuit board. Once the CR2430 battery dies, so does the memory of all these amps (and I have 6 such amps). I figured I should find a way to change the battery before it died in each of my amps. I personally saw what happened to a friend who had an earlier model: over ten years of its signature tones disappeared in a split second. So I bought a pack of 10 CR24xx batteries which could hold anything from a CR2430 (290mah) or CR2450 (620mah) to a full capacity CR2477 (1000mah). I created a double parallel circuit and soldered it to the motherboard before the original batteries started dying. decline. You now have 3 parallel batteries, the original and 2 Panasonic CR2450. So now they have the rest of the original 15+ year old battery plus 2 x 620mah (1240mah) so there's a good chance the amps will outlive me. like AxeFX and want to get the circuit, ask a question and ask for it...it's very easy to install!
