This is an adapter for connecting HDMI or VGA cables to a USB-C port "Cable. 5 inch. The cable ends with a USB-C connector.The adapter has 4 ports: HDMI, VGA, 3.5mm audio-out and USB-C for charging. The device was made in China. I find this adapter very useful for my projector bag. With With this adapter I can connect USB-C computers (Mac or Windows) to my projector either via HDMI or VGA.The adapter even allows you to connect 2 video devices at the same time such as a projector and a monitor I thought , I could use it as a replacement USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter, but I haven't been able to get the audio port to work yet. My computer just doesn't recognize it as a sound output function. The video ports work fine. The USB C connection at Device is for charging only, this is a pass-through charger for laptops that have a USB-C charging port and no other ports. In general, the video portion of this adapter works fine, but I couldn't get the audio port to work.
