Not bad calipers, I've decided to keep them, advise potential buyers that they are noticeably heavier than ordinary plastic. Thicker too, because the battery is a big lithium pill and has to fit under the display instead of on the side. Operation is not as smooth as port freight calipers, some oil may be required. What I like is that it turns on automatically when you move it and turns off automatically when it times out. The buttons look like dome switches, which are more reliable over the long term than carbon-lined rubber buttons. The display is nice and big and easier to read in low light. The battery compartment works well. The case isn't the biggest to open, you need two hands, the clasps are very tight and made of plastic. Also, the screw that locks the position needs to be tightened, otherwise it won't go into the case. You want the best case that opens with one hand and fits the instrument without having to tighten the screw. Or the screw is too long.
