They are lightweight and the flattened handle makes them very comfortable to hold
I have a full set of these hooks and use them for everything. They are so ergonomic that even with carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and some hand deformities I can use them for hours every day if I want to with no ill effects. They are light and very handy thanks to the flat handle. Also, light is especially useful when working with dark threads.
