In the picture they looked like heavier measuring cups, like they were made of very durable plastic, but they weren't. They are some kind of thin plastic. You can crush the cups with your hands and they will change shape a bit. My old device didn't do that. Or any set I've ever had. At least they will for now. Although I was a bit disappointed. They are also lighter blue than in the photo. It could be important, so I didn't care. The measured values are easy to read. It is embossed on the handle. It doesn't rub off like printed ones. Haven't used them on really sticky things yet to see if they really only clean well on dry items like flour and sugar. I have a feeling that 1 cup is a little more than 1 cup. My tea with this mug is sweeter than my old set from another brand. It is important for me. Maybe someone else. The most important part of the review: No, I wouldn't buy it again. I can handle them and when my dog eats them I'm less sad than ever about my last set. I won't be returning them - they're not useless, they're just not quiet, which I like.
