I like this line. I do a little bit of everything when it comes to woodworking and a little bit of everything else too. Trade Master. I've used this line more times than I ever thought I would. The simple bend design allows me to not only make a mark on the top, but also an identically placed mark on the side. This allows me to label my templates more precisely. When I first started, before making my first cuts, I found on many occasions that the end I started measuring from wasn't exactly square. This rule helps ensure I start my measurements in the right place. Once you place this ruler on the corner of a piece of wood, you can easily tell if the end is square or not. I've used mine on everything from furniture making to knobs. I will soon invest in a 6 inch model. I've wished several times I didn't have one, especially when working with rooms smaller than 12 inches, such as a bedroom. B. smaller doors and drawers. There are so many different things that make this line so easy to use. I've even used mine to mark round and square metal rods, plastic pipe, PVC, brass and even copper tubing. If you not only have your mark on the top of the product, but also have an identical mark on the side that makes first contact with your blade, it helps a lot to ensure your blade starts cutting exactly where you have it wanted to. While the mark at the top will help ensure your cut goes the right way. The accuracy is so accurate. I've found that you can also use it to determine how accurate your tape measures are. I admit it was a bit sad to find out how many measuring tapes I have in my garage that are a bit off. Some are only 1/32 and some were 1/4 inch smaller. I took my time fixing each one simply by adjusting the hook, and some I could only fix by writing in the middle of the ribbon how much to add or subtract. He also wrote corrections to the case for roulette as boldly as he could. So pack up. While they're not cheap, they're worth every penny and then some.
