So first of all, the existing hole in my worktop was too small for the sink. A small grinder shortened enough to accommodate this faucet. The instructions are decent and help you get the job done. I've never built a faucet before, so this should give you an idea that the instructions are fairly straightforward. At the same time, I read carefully, and nowhere was it said that plumbers are needed. I checked online and it turns out these new rubber lined sinks don't require plumbing putty, or rather discourage. That choice is of course yours, but I looked online and decided not to use piping because of the rubber grommets. I tested everything step by step with buckets under the pipes under the sink and everything works great so far. It's not a branded heavy duty faucet, it is what it is. It's cheap and attractive. I don't expect it to last a lifetime and that's okay. Have fun changing new faucets and give your bathroom a new look.
