I connected it to three separate laptops and it turned on (red light on) but it didn't connect or register on any of the laptops. The laptops weren't a problem as they were newer models including the Asus Zephyrus. The operating instructions did not give any helpful hints in this regard, as it automatically assumes that nothing can go wrong. I needed it for an exam, but luckily I made a better purchase and got a 720p dash cam that worked great (albeit with a low image quality).
