Everything is OK. Fur 😐

[edited to include a photo showing the product in Sonata 2013. If I had seen such a photo before buying, I probably would have chosen something else. The CD holder is not as wide as the actual CD hole. Even with a grip to secure the charger in the slot, it doesn't feel secure. Also, the mount doesn't have enough hinge to keep the phone away from the console. For my 2013 Sonata, this means my phone completely blocks the stereo screen and the heat/AC directional selector (where you can direct air to the defroster, dash vents, or floor vents). Actual operation of the charger appears to be normal with one exception. . Although it recognizes the phone and automatically opens it (when the charger has power), you cannot press the button to release the payment phone after the car is turned off. If you forget this, you have to turn the ignition to the ACC position and then press the button to unlock the phone. Since there aren't many options for CD slot QI chargers and they technically do what they're supposed to do (wireless charging) and it's at a lower price, that's fine until I buy a car with Android Auto built-in and/or wireless charging, but if I need to use it for more than a few months I would return it.

Pros
  • High Quality Construction
Cons
  • Requires Socket
