Cosmetics are hard to find at Revain; Many brands appear to be copies of others and I have noticed that some of the palettes here are simply repackaged and sold under different names. However, I'm a makeup artist on a budget and can't afford the famous palettes yet. SHANY is based in the USA and contains transparent ingredients, so I decided to give it a try! This is a good palette for those who want to experiment with the look of their eyes and get a feel for their colors. There are many options with so many colors, and there are three different eyeshadow finishes: shimmer, matte, and creamy shimmer. The palette consists mainly of neon shimmers, while nude tones contain creamy shimmers and matte tones. The pigmentation of shimmery and matte eyeshadows isn't the best, but if you use a base (e.g. an eye primer or concealer) before application, it completely transforms the colors and makes them shine. Off-white shimmers give the most color payoff, but they also give the most fallout and tend to flake a bit. Again, however, this can be supported somewhat by using a base underneath your product. In terms of blendability, these shadows require some blending work. You really should get there, especially if you're using a base. The variety of shades for each color balances this out a bit, as you can use different colors to create the illusion of a blended eyeshadow. The packaging is fairly basic and I have few complaints. Personally, the plastic plate between the pallets annoys me because it's difficult to remove, but that's just my nitpicking. It's needed to protect the pallets from each other and I think that's a great detail. The pans are inserted into the trays and do not bang or move. In general, the pallet can be easily stored and cleaned. I've seen people complain that the cuvettes are "penny sized" or too small, but they are about medium sized and I think the eyeshadow will last a long time for me. Even if you press the pan early, there are so many flowers that it will take time to finish the product.
