I was quite skeptical that this would work but was looking for a new eyelash curler as mine is a bit dated. Hand-pressed curlers have never been very good for curling. My lashes are very straight and most of the time I can't curl them all. When they were "curly" it was mostly an ugly, slightly flared job that consisted mostly of straight lashes that pointed slightly up but didn't really show much of the curve. This magical device works so well. I haven't used the others so I really can't say this is the best choice out of all the different brands but if you haven't tried something like this you'll be so happy if you do! I used the lowest mascara setting before and after the mascara - works well either way. I'm not a talented makeup user so anyone should be able to use this fairly easily.
