We are a family of 4 children and 2 adults which means we have a lot of shoes on the rotation especially during these weird fall/winter and winter transitions/ Spring where you need snowshoes on Tuesday and will be 70 on Friday. Our house is small with little storage space so while seasonal shoes are thrown away and put in the shed until needed again we have yet to solve the problem of shoes and boots everywhere every day. We piled them around the entrance to the kitchen where we enter the house, but not only was it messy, we tripped over everything. It's such a small area, I didn't think I could fit such a large rack, but I measured and it fits the small space PERFECTLY. And while it takes up more space than I would like, it takes up MUCH LESS space than 6 person full floor shoes. It looks like it will be flimsy but once assembled it is very durable. It fits shoes from my 3 year old daughter's tiny shoes to my husband's huge size 14 steel toe work boots with no problem. Kids love taking their shoes apart so I've never had to persuade them to change their habit - they come and put the shoes straight on the hanger unless they get wet - and they don't even forget to come back and put them on the hanger when it's dry. .Win/Won for me.
