This blanket says that it is 100% polyester and is machine washable. I very seldomly wash my blankets, so I cannot contribute as to the kind of condition it will be in after you bring it out of the washer and dryer.The stitching looks good, I can not find any loose threads. It does not look like it will shed at all. The arm holes have a non-stretchable binding around them to keep them from stretching out of shape. The arm holes are sewn approximately 15 inches down from the top of the blanket. The arm holes have approximately 30 inches between them, and they are approximately 15 inches from the outside edges.The blanket is long enough to cover my feet while sitting in a chair. There is plenty of fabric to drape around loosely and not feel confined. I found that if I’m holding still, that the blanket remains up on my shoulders. However, if I am moving around because I am working on a sewing project, or I reach over to get something off of the floor, the blanket tends to fall off of my shoulders. I might hand sew a small 2-piece button to the top of the blanket that I can fasten, after I sit down, that will keep it from falling off of my shoulders.While wearing this blanket, I do feel like my arms are completely exposed and they keep getting cold. However, there is quite a bit of fabric so that I can adjust things, but it is some extra effort to do so.FYI: the blanket comes very tightly wrapped in plastic, with an outer paper instruction wrapper. It is not frustration free opening, so I recommend a pair of scissors. There is a card inside the blanket that says you can return it, but they have listed out some stipulations, so please take a look at the white card in the photo.I do really like this blanket, even though I feel the arm holes are too big. If you do order this blanket, make sure you really really want it before you cut open the packaging.
