Review on BAR_Autotech Universal Tripe Gauge Meter by Josh Garber

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works exactly as advertised

The negative reviews are a bit surprising. It's basically a piece of metal with three standard-sized holes that fits into a standard dash radio slot. Perhaps some people's expectations were not met. The description seems to match the design and intention. Adding sensors, like all mod work, requires some tweaking. I have a right hand drive Suzuki Carry (kei truck) that I bought for off-road use. It had the original Japanese AM-FM radio. Useless in America. I pulled out the radio and put in three little Bosch gauges. volts, oil temperature and oil pressure. The gauges fit perfectly and the dash (and the subject of this review) fits perfectly in the hole that the radio once occupied. It's just a thin metal frame. Because that's all it takes. There are clips on the ends to keep it in place. I was talking about using screws but decided to use some JB Weld for each corner of the back of the panel where it connects to the dash to hold it in place since it's an SUV. Should the pressure gauges ever need to be replaced, they can be easily removed by loosening the supplied U-bolt. Nothing had to be adjusted to fit. No questions. Looks great, sits great. The end result is smoother than a keg of booger.
