I installed this directly to the stem on my State fixie, and it has held steady through 40+ miles of usage. The angle adjustment normally stays right where I put it to begin with, unless I'm riding over some particularly big bumps. I used a Speck clear case on my Note 8, and even with the large size of the phone, I have no worries about the mount dropping my phone. The mounting mechanism seems strong enough to prevent drops and damage, but is still easy to detach at the end of my ride.Overall, I am very impressed with this phone mount, and will be purchasing another soon for my girlfriend's bike.
