For a while I needed a 2 cup measuring cup that would work with the 1 and 4 cup Pyrex glass measuring cups but never got around to it. I decided to go ahead and get one the other day after trying Bovado's glass casserole dish and loving it. I grew up with Pyrex glass because my grandma said it was the best. I recently had an issue with my exploding Pyrex glass pan, so before purchasing a replacement I did a little research and found that they no longer make the highest quality glassware. Their quality changed when Pyrex was acquired in 1998 and the new company began using cheaper tempered soda-lime glass instead of the higher-quality borosilicate glass. I can tell a big difference in the quality of these 2 brands. Bovado's workmanship is much higher quality and they use higher quality borosilicate glass. This type of glass is more expensive, but also stronger, thicker, and better at heat transfer than tempered soda-lime glass. The cup is very well made, no sharp edges. It's very strong, with a flat base to not tip over. The spout is curved for easy pouring and the handle is thicker to fit your hand perfectly. Its measurements are given in cups, ounces and milliliters. Labeling is clear and easy to read for the most accurate measurements. I highly recommend this measuring cup as well as the products from this company. They may be a bit more expensive, but their quality is worth every penny.
