After 2 months I am so pleased with these dental floss holders that I'm adding my 5 star rating. To me, this product perfectly embodies the spirit of American ingenuity: it's elegantly simple, durable, effective, and fairly affordable. or two full clockwise turns under the rivet center piece. Then I thread the thread through the channels from left to right as explained in the instructions, squeeze my arms slightly together and pull the thread taut. Finally, I wrap it clockwise under the center section once or twice. To get in and out of the space between clenched teeth, I gently move the floss from side to side. By always attaching the thread in the same direction (e.g. clockwise), I find that it can be quickly and easily unwound, either fully when it's done, or partially to unwind again, as is sometimes the case is required. Again this is a brilliant product that is cleaner to use than dental floss. by hand, unlike tightly wound yarn, doesn't hurt your fingers and is very easy to work with once you get the hang of it. Now I only use disposable floss when I'm in a hurry.
