The wick is NOT cotton and copper but some type of plastic core (TWISTED INTO COTTON WITH COPPER WIRE) which does not efficiently transfer fuel through the wick and easily breaks when attempting to break the wick to stretch out a lighter. Don't buy, complete junk.
