I expected that and more. I read a previous review where people complained about it not being aligned but I got it anyway. I thought it would be better than now. I have 2 identical Acer 23 inch and an older 23 inch model. Little did I know that the position of the VESA mount can vary even between models. I figured they should be placed the same way. The old one was of course installed in the middle and much higher than the side ones, which were perfectly aligned. I measured the position of the VESA mounting holes on each monitor and found that the old LCD is about 1 1/2 inches lower than the new side mounted LEDs so this is not an issue with this mount. I thought about bending my arms, but I just couldn't figure out how to bend them perfectly. If you bend it once, you'll ruin this mount for other monitors in the future as well. Then I read the manual, found the center height adjustment screws and tried, but they only covered about 1/2 inch, so it wasn't enough. So I went to HomeDepot and bought small door hinges, cut the sides to make a rectangular plate with two screw holes and bought 4 M4 nuts (VESA - M4 screws). The mounting kit includes short and long screws with spacers in case the back of the monitor is curved. I used long bolts with nuts at the top (see attached picture) and hung the panels I made. Then use the short screws to fix the monitor below. This gave me enough room to use the height adjustment screw and eventually allowed all three monitors to be level. So don't blame this mount if your monitors aren't aligned. First, make sure all three monitors are the same or have the same VESA position. If not, do what I did: make an extension bracket and hang the center piece underneath and use the height adjustment screw for the rest.
