good workmanship but bad sound

good construction. tx and rx are easy to pair and have good radio frequency but difficult to tune. The microphone on the lapel does not pick up sound unless it is held directly to your mouth. I tried setting the maximum volume on the transmitter and receiver base but it didn't help.
