I used a pair of 10" rails to make a cabinet drawer. I chose to use them in a bottom mount configuration rather than side mount as usual and they worked great. You just have to make sure that the two guides are perfectly parallel and perpendicular to the shelf. They run smooth and quiet, look beautiful and are durable. Just look for some grease or something on the internal parts when you take them apart. You could use a guide just showing you how to separate the parts for installation. It is not difficult to understand, but it is the principle of the thing.
