Much smaller than in the photo. It's a decent prop, but not at all effective for lifting. The orthosis fully supports the lower back and not the sacrum. It's great for walking or driving, but not at all suitable for work. The photo gives the impression of supporting the sacral area, but it doesn't go high enough over the hips to be effective in that sense. I bought another Meuller orthosis for work and will only use it for driving, shopping and queuing. Well I've tried using it for light loads but the fabric isn't reinforced so it curls up a lot. It's useless.
