These weights are great! They fit perfectly in wide-mouth jars. They are a good weight for keeping veggies under the brine. The handle has a "rubber" texture to make it easier to grab and remove the load. The box is very stable for storing scales. There should be some kind of finger grip/bow on the lid of the box to open it when empty. The top and bottom of the box fit together so perfectly that opening it when empty is a hassle. This problem was solved by draping a string, twine, or ribbon around the bottom of the box before sealing it with a lid.
