I've been using Apple 3.5mm USB-C for a while, but my $500 Campfire Audio Polaris II headphones were starting to crackle. At first I thought it was my IEMs but THANKS I narrowed the problem down to my Apple headphone adapter, what a huge relief! This adapter is very well made and slightly longer than my Apple adapter which I like, the sound quality is exactly the same. But the most important thing is that there is no cod. Great product so far and I hope it lasts a long time.
