These are good toners for the money. Toners can be installed directly into a Canon printer. You get a message on the printer that says "Toner counterfeit" but as soon as you press the OK button, it prints normally and the message doesn't appear again. It also comes with chips so I didn't have to move the chips. from my old toner to new toner. The reason you are getting the counterfeit toner message is that it is not an official Canon chip/product. But it prints very well. The only downside is that it will most likely not show toner levels as it is not an official Canon chip/toner. However, these 4 toners cost about the same as 1 official Canon toner, so it doesn't matter. The toner gauge isn't worth the extra $250 in my opinion.
