I was looking for a new automatic waterer for our three dogs who spend a lot of time in our garden and need a lot of fresh water. I've used a couple of "household quality" bowls I bought at our local pet store in the past, but the galvanized one rusted in a few years, and the plastic bowl it replaced was prone to being chewed on by ours become younger puppy. , and eventually began flooding the yard when its custom float valve began to stay open. So I wanted something more "Industrial" and it was perfect for all needs. This thing is built like a tank, and since it's made of stainless steel, it's also built to last. As others have mentioned, I had a bit of trouble getting the umbilical hose to properly attach to the intake manifold, but judicious use of teflon tape and a couple of wrenches eventually got the job done. I've used a mesh coated stainless steel water hose to even protect it from dog molars and it's been working great for a few months now. Highly recommended.
