Like all stain devils

Haven't tried it on rust. I tried it with sweat. Like all stain fiends, they work, but I expect it will work on a small scale, but someone in the food industry's tank tops were too much of a challenge. It will take too much product and too much time. I would still recommend it for a sweat shirt or dress and I'll try it on rust. The great thing about Stain Devils is that they don't damage fabrics.
