Review on ๐Ÿ๏ธ OGIO 123006,36 No Drag Mach 5โ€“Stealth Rear: Unbeatable Performance for the Number 1 Rider by Nate Skinner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I've been in the market for a good sport riding backpack after years of being disappointed with less.

After years of disappointment with cheaper student backpacks and small hiking backpacks I was looking for a good equestrian backpack and settled on this highly recommended backpack. The look and design is amazing, there are no open zippers or loose material to unravel or blow in the wind, the shape is consistent and minimal drag, and the durable exterior helps protect your belongings from small bumps. It's comfortable from a full fit to riding upright and even walking. The shape can pose problems on a cruiser or touring bike with a raised rear seat or backrest. It includes many rider-friendly features, it's hydration-ready, the left shoulder strap can be zipped or unzipped, making it easier to don a restrictive jacket, boot pockets and visor, a multi-pocket utility panel, a divider and a chest and Waist straps can be removed. The included belt pouch can be worn on a shoulder strap, fits in a wallet or small phone, and is too small for a large smartphone or most compact handguns. The belt strap is quite small, too tight around my 38 inch waist, fully adjusted inside the jacket but easily removed. The included helmet leash has clips on both sides and works well. The chest strap is slightly better. , and has a nice elastic section, but the buckle is a little small to close with gloves. A waterproof case is not included, and although the packaging design should make it relatively waterproof, it seems to add waterproof zippers and a layer The fabric side would be a solid upgrade from their flagship motorcycle backpack. The interior is well planned and holds a surprising amount of stuff. The spacer panel can be zipped open to provide even more space, allowing the bag to be roomy when needed. and slim if not. There is a single fleece-lined pocket on the top, accessible from the outside without opening the main compartment, handy for sunglasses or a phone. The laptop sleeve has elastic straps and Velcro for a secure fit, my 15 Lenov o Yoga 710 perfect fit, there is a pocket for a 10 inch tablet, stretch pockets for chargers and pen loops. One of the problems is that almost all straps and accessories are attached with clips and can be easily removed. The semi-rigid visor cover is secured with ties sewn into the body and must be cut out to remove. There are already a dozen clips in the package, it would be nice to add another one to make the visor cover detachable. The backpack is ready for hydration and the 2 liter camelback bag fits perfectly in your bag. There is a handy clip to secure the top of the bag and keep it in place. The only problem is the only slot on the right side of the inside to let the hose down, there is no eyelet to bring it out on the outside of the shoulder harness, it has to come out between the rider and the gusset on the neck. It's also difficult to walk on the left side for easy access with a clutch hand. Ideally they place one on each side to choose from, with a second hole to route the charging cable. The materials appear to be high quality, there are 2 raised mesh panels that sit comfortably and breathable on your back with space in between to allow air to enter. The handle is a flat flap at the top of the backpack and works well. The pack can sort of sit down with enough weight in the main compartment, but more often than not you pull down the organizer panel to load it and then leave it open to put things in the main compartment. The zippers have rubberized fabric tabs that are easy to grab but feel a little cheap and are easy to close and sometimes require some effort to open. Additional waterproofing, locking hardware or a stronger zip would be good at this price point as most competitors have better zips. The design lacks zippers and pockets on the outside of the hard shell, so it's obvious that the backpack must be removed to access everything inside. Complaints are few, and there really isn't much direct competition. Despite its flaws, this is probably the best motorcycle backpack for riders who commute to work or want to pack a few days of summer clothes for a weekend getaway.
