Over the years I have used several salt and pepper shakers with different grind settings. However, I broke my salt shaker and opted for electric coffee grinders instead. I found this one, really good specs, I liked the look including the stand it sits in and I decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed, these shakers worked great. First, these are reliable machines that grind perfectly. I like the easy grind adjustment and they are so easy to fill. The motors in them have to be reliable because I have the biggest rock and it grinds perfectly in every setting. Secondly, the button on the top makes the operation so convenient that it is easy to use with one hand. The button instantly turns on the grind and also stops it instantly when released. Lastly the stand was a big plus as I don't want to have any scraps of sanding on the table where the rubber feet are a really good idea for that and work really well. There are no cons, they work perfectly for me, which makes me very happy with the purchase.
