I've installed some home automation/security equipment and found that I'm considering daisy-chaining an extension cord in my "telecom closet" (read: on the top shelf of my outerwear closet, where my internet connection goes). Stumbled across some links to these cables and found that I was able to replace four wall warts with these cables and a USB multiport charger. Wire gauge to support 3A and choice of adapters were key; Now I have multiple open AC outlets, less clutter, and everything runs cooler because I can power everything from one power supply. When things get tight or there isn't enough room for a power plug, a good USB charger and some of these cables are a great solution.
